RIYADH (21 August 2004) - The Federation of Maranao Associations in Saudi (FEMAS) will be holding its yearly biggest event, the FEMAS CUP 2004 (Lawn Tennis, Volleyball, & Basketball Tournaments) by mid-September this year. This announcement was made by their sports committee chair Datu Mike Sharif during a special meeting of the FEMAS officers and council of elders held on Friday, 20 August. He made it clear that these tournaments are exclusive for Filipino-Muslims based in Saudi Arabia only. The newly appointed tournament director Datu Bubong Langco emphasized the importance of such event as a great tool to establish a strong camaraderie between and among Muslim Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW's) based in Saudi Arabia.
