Reema Rasul Cadar Ayo MudagBy Abul Badio Hadji Ibrahim, Jeddah (April 6, 2009)

The academic talent of Mudag’s family is once again proven by one of their daughters who is a genius, energetic, polite, respectful, smart young Muslim Maranao lady, the illustrious Daughter of the Royal Sultanate of Masiu Miss Reema Rasul Cadar Ayo Mudag, who has just graduated as Magna Cum Laude in BS Computer Science at Philippines Women’s University, Manila, Philippines on April 4, 2009.  Ms. Reema was the only among the 900 graduates who deserved and awarded the highest level in academic honor this school year 2008-2009.  The commencement speaker Senator Manny Villar gave her a personal Medal and Excellence award.  Meanwhile, the University’s administration, faculty, and staff conferred an honorary Doctor of Law (Honoris Causa) to Senator Manny Villar and his better half.

The Miss Magna Cum Laude deserves all the honors and good words that she is now receiving from her relatives, friends, faculty and staff from his Alma mater and the public.  And of course her parents equally deserved the honors brought about by the great achievement of their daughter giving the Maranao tribe and the public an epitome example that a simple life lived honesty coupled with perseverance, consistency, integrity, and hard work could yield a fruitful success.  She becomes an inspiring mirror and model that open the minds of the Muslim Maranaos youth that hope resides in living an honest and upright life,

Reema Rasul Cadar Ayo MudagMs. Reema Mudag was born on April 12, 1989 in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to a very fortunate couple Engr. Salic Cadar Ayo Mudag, a board topnotcher in Geodetic Engineering and Civil Engineering Board Examination during 1983; graduated in Mindanao State University, Marawi City, grown and hails from Gapao Balindong, Taraka, Lanao Del Sur and; Mrs. Rohanie Rasul Mudag who hails from Tugaya and Gapao Balindong, Taraka, Lanao Del Sur but raised in Islamic City of Marawi and Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Miss Magna Cum Laude has been predicted and presumed by his friends and relatives as a successful Muslim Maranao lady, considering her numerous prestigious awards she received and her academic track record in her Alma Mater, The Philippines Women’s University as a consistent member of the roster of Magna Cum Laude.  At last, she was the only student in her Alma Mater who finally deserved the highest level in academic honor at graduation “The Magna Cum Laude”.  The University’s Administration, faculty and staff had lauded Miss Reema Mudag for having been deserved the only student in her institution awarded as Magna Cum Laude this school year 2008-2009.   Of course, she is the only Muslim student in this university deserved this kind of great award since the inception of this University.  She was an enthusiastic leader of her college department in Computer Science and undoubtedly chosen as most articulate and eloquent speaker in her Alma Mater.  She completed her secondary school at Al-Hekma International School in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia as Salutatorian.

The other two sisters of Miss Magna Cum Laude known as Ms. Kadijia and Ms. Hanadi Mudag were both in the roster of University Cum Laude this recent year in same university and hopefully they will maintain their academic excellence and will graduate next year with Cum Laude, Insha Allah, from their respective course/degree in BS Pharmacist and Accountancy.  They were a recipient of many awards since their freshmen college to third year college.  Both awarded as most outstanding students and youth leaders for their respective college departments.  They completed their secondary school at Al-Hekma International School in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia as Valedictorian and Salutatorian respectively.

Our daughter, Ms. Magna Cum Laude along with her two gorgeous sisters, is more optimistic in developing and enhancing her own career as time passes by.  She was politely and respectfully heeded the advice of her parents particularly fulfilling her religious duties to Almighty Allah since childhood to present.   She and her two sisters are considered young model for Muslim Maranao ladies in particular and the entire young Muslims in general for constantly wearing Muslim veil and frequently dressed up with Islamic outfits despite schooling in mostly Christian university in a metropolitan area at Manila. Their neighborhood and other citizens were vigorously respected them persistently for showing as a good Muslim young ladies not enticed to bad atmosphere but concentrated only to their studies and religious duties to Almighty Allah.

We, close kin of Ms. Magna Cum Laude, are elated and highly proud to our illustrious daughter for successfully deserving the worthy academic excellence that shed light to the Muslim Maranaos community and surely become part of inspiration to our new generation to come.   Indeed, I am undoubtedly that she will become an icon of successful Muslim Maranao young lady that her friends and relatives are more proud of, today, tomorrow, and the days come in near future.

Else, I can say in a big audible voice “Congratulation” May the Almighty Allah with you always in the pursuit of your objective, goal, ambition, and career?
